Project Background:

PJSC Lukoil Oil Company,is a Russian multinational energy company, headquartered in Moscow, specializing in the extraction, production, transportation and marketing of oil, gas and petroleum products.It was founded in 1991 when three state-run Western Siberian companies were named after the town of Okrug in the Khanty-Mansi autonomous region,

The headquarters of the companies are located in Langepasneftegaz, Urayneftegaz and Kogalymneftegaz.

Its name is a combination of the initials LUK (for the oil-producing cities of Langpas, Uri and Kogalim) and the English word "oil"

Lukoil is Russia's second largest company, second only to gazprom, in terms of income is one of the country's largest non-state enterprises (₽ 4.744 billion).

Internationally, it is one of the world's largest producers of crude oil. In 2012, the company produced 89.856 million metric tons (1.813 million barrels per day) of oil. The company has operations and subsidiaries in more than 40 countries.

September 9, 2020, marks the 30th anniversary of the company's founding, and the company spent money to build six "fire towers" to celebrate the anniversary.

Vagit Alekperov, president of Russia's Lukoil company, lit a 30M tall flame tower to commemorate the victory of oil workers.
