The National Ski Jumping Center “Snow Ruyi” is China’s first ski jumping center, with a summit elevation of 1,771 meters and covering an area of approximately 62 hectares. It is the largest and most technically challenging competition venue within the Zhangjiakou Winter Olympic Games venue cluster. The lighting design concept fully integrates the architectural characteristics, using the theme of “dynamic ski jumping, passionate soaring” as its expression. Guided by principles of “optimization, enhancement, refinement, and detail,” the project emphasizes the “Ruyi” shape, creating a cohesive nightscape that highlights both form and detail. This beautifully crafted “nightscape postcard,” rich in Chinese elements, is set to become a shining example of smart lighting in the Zhangjiakou venue for the 2022 Winter Olympics.
